This review is from: The Portrait Photography Course (331/3) (Paperback)
I bought this book to add to the many others I have on portrait photography.
What I found was a book that made me question my knowledge of what a camera and lens is doing and how light works. Much of the physics I already knew. However I had forgotten how important basic principles are.
It is a book that instructs you to question and encourages you to question.
If carrying out tests on your lenses is the only thing you learn from this book then it will have paid for itself.
It is not a book for dipping into but one to make you think for yourself; not to copy blindly but to encourage you to think about what you are doing and what is happening.
