LTH disks needs special recorder firmware,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Verbatim BD-R SL LTH Blu-Ray Blank Discs 25 GB 6x Speed Wide Inkjet Printable Spindle of 25 Discs (Personal Computers)
I normally trust tn Verbatim. This time I did not know about the letters LTH. After several recorded disks with errors, I thoroughly searched the Internet for a reason and then I found that disks with the letters LTH needs a recorder suited for them. My Sony recorder had an update for LTH in the Sony support page witch I installed. Despite this update of the recorder I got still some errors.
I returned the disks to Amazon and I got full refund. I bought new discs without the LTH letters and have no problems recording BD-R disks

Dr. Zook says:
In 2011, France's Ministry of Culture and Communication conducted a study on the suitability of data archival of LTH (low to high) discs compared to HTL (high to low) discs. The data they collected indicated that the overall quality of LTH discs is worse than HTL discs.
