When you think 'Ian mcShane' you do not instantly think singer, well! not before his success in Witches of Eastwick. This album of covers however is an nice suprise to find the Lovejoy star has other talents. It is a simple album of songs he likes. Thanks to his wife who heard him sing them in the shower, she convinced him to put them on to disc. The first track Avalon (which was the single from the album) is a fine copy but as the album progresses you find yourself warming to him mellow, chocolately voice and feel the need at the end to play it again. The title track I would suggest going straight too to get a flavour of the lovely sunny sunday afternoon feel you get from listening to Mr McShanes only diversion into record making. On the whole well worth the money!
