A Brilliant Set Of Classic British Television Comedies & Dramas By The Great Jack Rosenthal,
This review is from: Jack Rosenthal At ITV [DVD] (DVD)
Definitely worth having a copy of as it includes classic material I've been looking after for several years, mainly...the 1979 television film "The Knowledge" featuring Mick Ford who famously played the character of Archer in the theatical version of the Alan Clarke film SCUM. This five disc set is the perfect introduction to what made British television brilliant in the 1960's & 1970's and showcases why Jack Rosenthal was one of the great writers of his day.
I'd also like to point out that a previous reviewer has stated having a problem with the last disc featuring the television film The Knowledge saying the following about the sound quality..."Extraneous sound "tone" throughout (at varying levels) and annoying enough to make it unwatchable." I've not even noticed it until reading that comment as it is definitely not affecting viewing unless you have your ear right up against the speakers of the television. It is noticeable if you chose to watch it this way but really doesn't effect the quality of viewing the film as it has been watched several times over by several of me mates and I since purchasing the set without anyone complaining.
