Access Point Mode is perfect for when your ISP insists you use their Router,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Apart from the solid performance as reported in other reviews, the biggest relief was how easy it was to set up with my Sky router. Sky (like BT and increasing numbers of other ISPs I believe) insist you use their own router and don't let you switch it to a "modem only" mode which can be problematic (in my case- phone socket is in corner of basement and the Sky router is not strong enough for the wifi signal to reach top floor). With this Asus product all I had to do was choose the "Access Point" mode through the web interface, then connect any of the ethernet ports (WAN or LAN) on the Asus box to one of the LAN ethernet ports on the Sky router with an ethernet cable. The Asus box is located in a more accessible location in the house and all my devices are connected to the Sky router via the wifi on the Asus. This literally took max 10 minutes when I was dreading a big struggle to get it all up and running.
