This review is from: Charlie's Key (Paperback)
John Harris is a storyteller who visits my kids` school every year - it`s one of the highlights of the year and the kids are buzzing with excitement for days before the visit and weeks after - he really is that good!
This book was apparently inspired by another school he visits regularly and both my kids love it. It`s a warm and touching story which appeals for different reasons to 5 year olds and 9 year olds (as mine are) and presumably everyone in between as well. It`s very funny, slightly off the wall and at the same time quite a moral story without being preachy. Now that I come to write this review I realise it`s quite a hard story to sum up - it`s not really like anything else I can think of to compare it to, which I know probably isn`t much help - just buy it and see for yourself, you`ll love it, I promise!
