Egoic, judgemental nonsense ..,
This review is from: Discover Atlantis: A Guide to Reclaiming the Wisdom of the Ancients (Paperback)
I think it is very sad that Diana Cooper seems to have so much influence in the 'angelic' mind, body, spirit world, when quite a lot of what she claims seems to come from a place of ego and judgement. She claims that this book is based on the truth, as given to her, via her guides (mainly Kumeka). One of the most outrageous judgements she makes is on page 53, where she states the following: "LSD is an artificially produced chemical that changes the pattern of brainwaves so that the user becomes mentally out of synch and can never get into synch again. This destroys the possibility of spiritual connection for that lifetime." In other words, if you were unlucky enough to be spiked with LSD, then it is all over for you in this life, as you will not be able to connect to the spirit world. She therefore condemns everyone who has experimented with this drug to an unspiritual life! This is crazy, and really annoying, as many young people who have taken this drug actually start their spiritual journey after taking it. Ram Das and Eckhart Tolle took this drug, and 'the Power of Now' is a spiritual book of truth that resignates with hundreds of thousands of people. According to Diana Cooper, Eckhart Tolle is cut off spiritually. What total nonsense!! Can you imagine how her crazy statement can scare a young person searching for truth? I looked on her website, and she answered a letter from such a young distressed person, who asked if she was damned to a life of non spirituality. Diana told her that there was plenty she could do in service, without connecting to the higher realms of Spirit. What arrogance!

Mr. M. R. Drake says:
But what if she is right? Her job is to reveal the truth and tell facts, not tell lies and bent truths to suit peoples preferences unfortunately. You may not be able to get to 5th dimensional level but I am sure if you do enough practive you could get to level 4 with teh will power! If not, you can always drink ayahuasca! Much better than LSD!This does not mean you will not meet spirits and get to the spirit world when you die, it means whilst you are mortal. This mortal life is very short in comparison. You will have another mortal life after that :)

Well I was thinking of buying the book but won't now. Although I wouldn't advocate using drugs as I think it can be a slippery slope, I actually had a very spiritual experience whilst using LSD and which actually continued for some time (weeks) afterwards. I felt full of love for the first time in my life even towards my partner who was being a complete git to me. Also during the 'trip', I felt connected to the source(?) and all questions I asked were immediately answered, plus I seemed to get spiritual insights into my current situation. Of course you could write this off as the effects of the drug, but can you blame the drug for what continued for several weeks after? Since that time, probably 15+ years ago, I've had many spiritual experiences.
It's a shame that she has made this statement really, because I've enjoyed some of her other books in the past and was thinking of getting them again. Probably won't bother now.
