I bought this book because I saw it in a bookshop by chance, at the time I was thinking of buying a juicer. In the meanwhile I have prepared over 20 of the juices. Not all are to my tasting but then vegetable juices are more difficult to like than fruit juices but I try them all as even the bad tasting ones are supposed to do something for your health, maybe even more than the great tasting ones. This book gives you a lot of useful information and it is easy to use. Really a great book. It has become my everyday bible! I skip the smoothies with milk products, not my type of thing and luckily there aren't many in this book!

Hi, sorry but I am not at home in France right now so I have no access to this book. I never really read the smoothie récipes as I hate milk but I would think that you can make a smoothie like you make a juice adding milk at the end. If you want some foam you can either use a blender or maybe a staff mixer. For all the other récipes you need a juicer and preferably a masticating juicer which keeps the enzymes and other nutrientes intact. I have to confess that after initially making a lot of juices I haven't made any for a long time. Coming Spring and Summer we will have our own fruit and vegetables so I might make more as they are hardly treat with chemicals at all. The only thing I don't manage to find out is whether juices are actually good or bad for you. Some say they are terrific, others say they are bad because of the natural sugars.... maybe better not binge on them. That said I have a real difficulty drinking green vegetable juices!
