This review is from: Xett Horizontal Stand with 3 x Cooling Fans for Sony PS3 / PS3 Slim / Xbox 360 / Notebook / Laptop Computer (290mm by 240mm) (Video Game)
I use this for my old Xbox 360, the stand works not so much by blasting air at your xbox/ laptop/ whatever but by simply raising it up and the fans moving the hot air away, sounds simple but it really works. My Xbox is warm after prolonged use but before I got this item it would get positively HOT.
Its not loud either, just a faint whirring, the lights however are a bit over the top, they alarmed my cat and he won't enter the room if it's on.

Great review, hope your cat gets used to the blue lights through time (could be worse it could have been the red dot of frustration). Does this set up include a pass through on the USB plug so that both USB ports are open for use. Thanks :)

Here's the thing, I bought one of these about a year ago for my wife ( laptop use) it has got a pass through USB, I bought one for my Xbox and it doesn't, Hmmm, same packaging, same product. that of course is absolutely no help to you unless you enjoy games of chance :). Yes and the terror of having my Xbox on for more than an hour is a distant memory because of this.

Thanks for the reply, as you say it's down to chance whether the one I order comes with the (preferred) USB pass through. Amazon has about two dozen or more similar items listed but I'd guess that the core item is the same and just shipped out from the same factory with a different label. Mind you at just over £4 with p&p it's not a big gamble anyway. I reckon I'll go for it and hope it has what I need (fingers crossed). I've had the PS3 since Christmas 2009 and it's been a reliable trustworthy console but I think a cooling fan wouldn't go amiss. Thanks again and All the Best :)
