Unusual and Interesting,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dangerous Curves Atop Hollywood Heels: The Lives, Careers, and Misfortunes of 14 Hard-Luck Girls of the Silent Screen (Paperback)
I'm not even sure what prompted me to buy this book, it's quite far out of my usual reading fare, however it is quite fascinating and a rare slice of history. It's almost like reading an account of early rocketry, filled with weird and strange stories of what seem to be social misfits (and I'm talking about the directors and producers, not just the actresses!) with ridiculously fictional ideas that then end up changing the world almost as if by the most random of chances.
An unusual but very touching book that delves into details and slices of the lives of these actresses in a way that is so poetic precisely because it is so human.
