This review is from: The Second World War in Colour [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Approximately 3 hrs long and no "filler", just John Thaw doing a good job reading diaries, letters, etc, while the images (all period colour film) go by. Spends a little too much time on some issues (I'd seen all the Hitler scenes before and I'm not too interested in partisan activiteis in occupied Europe for example) but that's my taste at work. I read an article which said the producers found 600 hrs of film, watched 200 of it, then selected these 3. They did an excellent job, but I want to see the rest!
