A point - for some - worth noting, NO PREDICTIVE TEXT.,
This review is from: Amplicomms Powertel M7000 GSM Sim Free Mobile Telephone - Silver (Electronics)
An excellent phone for those who do not crave technology at every instant. Those numbering, and increasing, in their millions, who require their less than hourly "fix" (hand-held heroin?) to satisfy their blinkered view of life, this is not for you! However, should - shock, horror - your requirement for a phone(?) be communication(?) a great choice. Merely be aware of the minor drawback, of no predictive text.

No predictive text - this is exactly what I wanted to know and could not discover from the technical details. This is a real drawback for hard of hearing people who use SMS text messaging more often than making calls.

Mr P says:
This phone DOES HAVE PREDICTIVE TEXT! It is called "Smart text", and is quickly enabled by pressing the hash key (as on most phones) to toggle the input method (smart text, lowercase, uppercase, numbers, camelcase, etc.) OR press the options key and select "Input method" from the menu. When smart text is enabled, the input method is prefixed with "eZi" on the screen. It can also be set as the default input method in the phone settings.

Thank goodness for your comment! After reading the review I was about to cancel my order for the phone as I text more than I phone people. Your instructions are so good - better than in the manual, so I've added this page to my favourites for quick reference.
Have now got the phone and written a review. IMO the predictive texting it has is a joke!
