Saint Marshall Kills it Again,
This review is from: The Medium is the Massage: An Inventory of Effects (Penguin Modern Classics) (Paperback)
Often cited but rarely understood, I don't know of anyone who better explains the media landscape than Marshall McLuhan. The Medium is the Massage stretches the limts of the book as a format whilst offering deep insight into the functioning of the information world. Combining a clever mix of visual tricks with a distilled version of McLuhan's philosophy of communication, the book often surprises with its energy, movement and true originality meaning it remains as fresh today as when it was first published.
Some of the ideas presented in the book may be obscure to those who don't know the author's work. For those who really want to get involved with McLuhan's ideas I would recommend reading Understand Media, probably more than once.
Buy this book - you won't regret it.
