I downloaded the Kindle version and avidly read it it one day. Julia Buckley is a writer as well as a personal trainer. Therefore, this book is very well written. Clear, to the point and with some humor, she show us why her workouts work. Diagrams and explanations are very easy to follow and understandable. Nothing complicated is involved and the only equipment needed are dumbbells and a fit ball.
I was after a structured interval/circuits workout that would get me the fitness, toning and fat-loss results I used to achieve when I used a personal trainer in the past. Since moving and no longer having a personal trainer, my discipline and my weight have gone to pot! I want to burn fat and gain back my muscle tone. This book is certain to do just that as it covers many of the exercises and follows a similar regime that I know worked for me in the past. This book gives me back control over my workouts because it is specific, structured yet flexible. It is suitable and challenging for any level of fitness.
I like the fact that it focuses more on workouts and less on diet yet the recommendations she makes about food are spot on and make total sense. Again, they are guidelines that worked when I followed them in the past. So I know they will work again. I just needed to be reminded of them and get that workout structure back into my life.
I live in Florida and working out outside isn't always a good option. These workouts can be done anywhere! Inside or out, at a gym or at home. Very practical for real people with real lives. That's what will make this system sustainable in the long run. Absolutely worth the investment!
