This review is from: Finn and Hengest: The Fragment and the Episode (Paperback)
This is a scholarly work for serious students of ancient language, not a 'curl up on the sofa with an apple' book. That said, it does contain translations alongside the two original short texts that the book is based around, and anyone with a love of language will find this book fascinating.

It certainly is for those with a love of linguistics and old languages analysis. It is quite interesting from that point of view. Potential buyer, do be aware however that it has really only 5 pages of original Anglo-Saxon / Old English text, with 5 pages of opposite translation. The rest is made up of ( admittingly interesting ) introductions, comments, word by word explanations of meanings and origins, notes and indexes.
