Good but didn't live up to expectations,
By A Customer
This review is from: Tell No One (Paperback)
I bought this book based on its intriguing title and synopsis and the number of excellent reviews but after a strong start, it didn't end up being the chilling and suspenseful book I expected. The twist at the end fell flat, adding nothing. The book reads at killer speed as it moves quickly from scene to scene and it held my attention, but this technique can also divert attention from weaknesses in the storyline and limit the opportunity for character development. The degree to which the protagonist was under surveillance, electronically and otherwise, seemed excessive in this particular story. Despite all of the above, it's still entertaining reading and a good way to escape the every day.
If you're looking for a good book with a twist, I recommend Jeffrey Deaver's "The Coffin Dancer". Although part of a series, I think it stands well on its own.
