OK. But not as good as I expected,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Moleskine Watercolour Notebook (Journal)
I'm a big fan of Moleskines generally, but this is the first of their watercolour notebooks I've bought. Build quality is up to Moleskine's usual standards, however I'm not overly impressed with the paper.
For a start, I'm almost certain the packaging gave the paper weight as 150g, whereas the description here claims 200g. Unfortunately I've thrown out the packaging, so cannae double-check this, but I'm pretty sure.
For a second, I've just done a quick watercolour doodle and the paper buckled pretty badly. I wasn't even using that much water. Worse still, the small amount of residual dampness in the paper has slightly buckled the second page in the book too. Given the number of reviews, praising the paper's ability to take a lot of water and not buckle, I find this pretty disappointing.
If my suspicions about the reference to 150g paper, on the packaging are correct, it may be that Moleskine have begun using a less robust paper, than previously, in these books. Whatever the truth is, the one I received doesn't match up to either the previous reviewers' experiences, or my expectations of a Moleskine.
