This is a very well presented book - good layout and very clear diagrams and inspiring photographs. It is all written in a knowledgeable but unpreachy way. It is packed with ideas for projects that use mainly recycled materials - making paths, paper pots, cold frames, cloches, bird boxes - even a garden shed from junk. For a small book it is amazingly comprehensive and is ideal for anyone starting an allotment of planning to grow fruit and vegetables in their garden. It takes the reader through the seasons and describes in a simple and clear way how to develop your plot, raise plants and store your produce. The section on composting is particularly informative - I will definitely try the Bokashi system soon.
I have to confess that I probably spend too much on my garden but this book has inspired me to take a more frugal approach in future. I'm off now to rummage through a skip that I spotted earlier!
