This review is from: E Maru No-Forever (Audio CD)
Lovely Brittney "Anelaikalani" Jennings released her first Hawai`ian music cd at the age of 14 in 2000.
She was one of the premier young Hawai`ian female falsetto vocalists.
"Anelaikalani" meaning Angel of Heaven. Her voice was pure and innocent.
This first CD was "Anelaikalani" (4 Stars). It is clear she was highly influenced by the sounds of a by gone era like Aunty Genoa Keawe. As well as stunning artists today like Amy Hanaiali`i Gilliom.
This CD is traditional Hawai`ian hula mele simply accompanied by guitar and piano. It was an impressive start to her recording career.
Her second CD was "Among my Souvenirs" in 2003. (4 Stars.)
It was in the same style.
Her third CD was "Completely" released in 2005. (5 Stars.)
Now her voice is even more lovely. The beautiful traditional hula mele is accompanied by Hawai`ian
steel guitar and ukulele for the totally tropical experience. Recommended.
Her latest CD "E Mau No" released in 2010. (5 Stars.)
This CD is absolutely Beautiful. Her voice has matured perfectly.
She sings of family and friends in these superb songs. An excellent selection of traditional hula mele
accompanied by Hawai`ian steel guitar and ukulele.
Listening to these gorgeous songs you are transported to Paradise. The Hawai`ian Islands.
If you love Hawai`i this is an absolute must buy. Highly recommended.
