The worry weeks,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Wonder Weeks. How to Stimulate Your Baby's Mental Development and Help Him Turn His 10 Predictable, Great, Fussy Phases Into Magical Leaps Forward (Paperback)
This is a nice book, and a great idea, and a fun read. But just don't read it to check your own child's progress. They have deliberately given examples that are the earliest possible ages when a baby might do something. Walking around the furniture at 6 months. Having little conversations with their parents at 15 months. My son has some developmental delays so I bought this when my daughter was born to check everything was on track. And although she is fine and has no serious problems, this book made me fear the opposite. She wasn't comparing to the other little babies in the book. She also didn't really match up to the chart at the beginning, which shows when they'll have a 'bad' or 'good' week, she just seemed to have her own pattern altogether!
I also agree with other reviews that it doesn't really help with childcare or give any tips other than just explaining why your child is behaving in a certain way. I hate to say this, but Gina Ford is more helpful!
