3.0 out of 5 stars Great sound - good build - fall out, 16 Feb. 2014
This review is from: RHA MA600 Noise Isolating In-Ear Headphone - 3 year warranty (Electronics)
I've had these a while and they've brought back the joy of listening to music...as long as I sit very still.

I bought these for long haul flights and to cancel out noise and to that extent, they did a decent job - as any in-ear headphones would, but I also bought them for when I use my running machine and they are no good for this as they fall out of my ears every few minutes.

RHA provide a good range of buds in various sizes in an effort to accommodate all the ear canal sizes out there but none of them suit me and within minutes of ramming them as deep as I can into my ear canal, they pop out and I have to re-adjust them and push them back in.

If these buds get placed deep inside the ear, the bass is excellent and the sound quality really comes through and you get the full musical ability of these excellent ear-phones which is why it's so very annoying to have them pop out all the time.

No sooner am I jogging and listening to a favourite song, when I have to change my pace and rhythm as I struggle to get them to fit back inside my ear.

it's become so annoying now that I'm going to have to write to the manufacturer to find a solution because I can't really use them as intended.

One short lived solution is to place the buds into my ears and then literally, wrap the chord around each ear so as to prevent even the slightest movement of the wire which could be assisting in pulling them loose, but even this does not stop them from popping out.

So, at the juncture, I have to say they sound great but don't stay in long enough to give them a higher star rating.

This of course, could be down to me and my ears but as far as I am concerned I have "normal" ears and even with every sized ear bud supplied tried, nothing works, so is it a design fault or poor buds ?

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing such an issue with your MA600i. I would definitely recommend trying all the different sizes of silicone tips, as the fit is extremely important to getting the best sound quality, and the headphone should fit very snugly into the ear canal creating a noise-isolating seal.

Please contact us at customercare(@)reidheath where we'll be able to provide further assistance.

Kind regards,
