This review is from: Simply Johnny Cash (Audio CD)
What we have here is a selection of JC recordings from his time with Sun Recordings.
It is pretty much the same as the other dozen or so collections of the same recordings.
The packaging is OK, but nothing special.
The track selection is ordinary.
It is no better or worse than most of the other almost identical sets out there.

Glasgow Dreamer says:
It's only going to get worse I'm afraid. All 1950s music is now out of copyright, so if you particularly want to, you could rip all your own vinyl from that era to CD and sell it legally. That's pretty much what is happening with all these cheap releases - Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, even Elvis and Cliff now have literally dozens of compilation albums available for only a couple of quid, all containing pretty much the same songs.
On the one hand, it's good to be able to get the music easily and cheaply, but on the other hand, the recordings are often of poor quality, and packaging is almost universally poor, with little or nothing in the way of sleevenotes or added value of any kind at all.
