This review is from: Corgi GS62108 London 2012 Police Officer Wenlock Die Cast Mascot Figurine (Toy)
First, the product. Wenlock is excellently presented (must be that non-stick coating) in his classic pose: totally isolated within his little plastic 'kettle'. His unblinking eye gazes out over the room with a delightfully unnerving stare which really adds to the overall impression. The absence of any shoulder badge numbers also helps to give a real air of authenticity to the figure.
In fairness I was hoping for more accessories: the Policing by Public Consent notebook and the judicial mandate sticker collection don't appear to be included. Still, the optional taser, flak vest and rifle kit (hollowpoint ammunition sold separately) work a treat.
A warning to keen collectors though - I bought this figure to go with my News International Piggy Bank but in spite of the advertised compatibility, when I try to move my money from one into the other it doesn't seem to work. Likewise when I tried to get Wenlock into my Public Inquiry playset his shoulders and hat are so large that he won't fit into the plastic witness box. Very sad.
In summary? Overpriced, but a great way to get the kids interested in the law!
