A book for every gay man,
This review is from: The Men with the Pink Triangle: A unique first hand account of the life and death of homosexual prisoners in the Nazi concentration camps (Paperback)
The book is readable and short. It is not some academic discourse. It is one man's experience of irrational hatred and trying to come to terms with it. Such books are very important in making the gay community aware that many have suffered just because of who they are and for no other reason. The Jewish dead rightly have a Community which can keep the memory of such violence and prejudice alive as a warning - this book goes some way to warning those who take their alternative sexual freedom for granted that they will always be in the minority. Tides can go out as well as in. Essential reading.
