This review is from: Moto E 4GB SIM-Free Smartphone - Black (Wireless Phone)
This was bought to replace my Huawei U8800 which suffered a screen failure recently.I bought the u8800 in 2011 for £225 at that time it was newly released and very highly rated.
I don't use it to play games. It was bought for use as a mobile phone, text messaging and emails. As well as to run a couple specific apps.
The Moto E has slightly better specifications , a better screen ,and Android 4.4 vs the U8800s Android 2.2.
Overall I am very pleased . This Moto E costs less than half the price of my old phone and is better, has a newer version of android and has a better screen.
In addition it only cost me £89.
The battery lasts significantly longer than the U8800s. I can get almost 2 days of moderate use from it with the GPS and WiFi switched on.
I use my phone as a dashboard Sat-Nav with TomTom U&ROI maps android app.
My old Tom-Tom was bought in 2008 and was showing its age. This phone with TomTom App is vastly quicker and has a much better screen than my old TomTom. In addition it doesn't suffer from delays finding GPS satellite.
I also use a sports App called Endomondo on this phone .The App tracks my distance and route and calculates calories used etc
The only negative for me with this phone is the lack of LED flash and so that's why i gave it 4 stars.
