a bit dull and guarded,
This review is from: The Tracks of My Years: The autobiography (Kindle Edition)
I had just finished reading the second of the books by Chris Evans (sad person that I am but they are very entertaining!) and wanted to find out a bit more about Mr Bruce as I'd been listening to him for years but realised I hardly knew anything at all- even the basics such as age, background etc.
I now know what he chose to tell which I suspect is only the half of it. He seems to have a self deprecating sense of humour on radio but this is not all that apparent in this somewhat worthy tome It tells you all the basics but does not delve too far into what he really thinks or feels so it is ultimately unsatisfying - a pity- would have been better if he had taken just a few more risks
