Hoping for a series after this one,
This review is from: The Blade Itself: The First Law: Book One (Kindle Edition)
I hope that this is the first book in many, and not simply a trilogy. These characters deserve time to further mature, and have their stories not rushed. To sum up, trust the other reviews here. All the points are perfectly valid, from the slightly dark humour that had me laughing out loud in many bits, to how every character is very interesting, as if they could be the sole lead characters in their own books with ease. The only one point I would not personally agree with, is that this book is not an easy one to read and should maybe be avoided by new comers to the genre. I say that this is an excellent introduction into what a truly good author of noir fantasy can do, and should be experienced by all. After reading this, new comers could easily get hooked on fantasy!
