may be her best,
This review is from: The Hand That First Held Mine (Kindle Edition)
Maggie O'Farrells story told across two time periods about
1 a modern day young couple coming to terms with a traumatic birth and the early days of child rearing
2 a 50s love story of a young woman and her married lover in seedy soho.
This is a great story as before i found the story of the woman in previous times to be the most interesting .I find her modern days people to be unempathetic, she has a wonderful period touch.
For me this book flagged a bit in the middle but i am glad i peresevered to the end of this great story. I look forward to checking out more of her work.
