Amazon Still Selling Defective Disc,
This review is from: The Innocents (Blu-ray) (Blu-ray)
As of August 2011, Amazon is still selling defective copies of this disc (where the picture breaks up into blocks) nearly a year after other reviews pointed out the problems. Someone really needs to pull their finger out! A real shame, as it's a 5 star film.

Thanks Matthew Ball for the heads up on the botched blu ray of this classic. Still want to get this great classic in hi-def, but not if the discs are still malfunctioning. I am here in the states and love getting imports from good studios with a reputation. I have never heard of the one who put this one out, so would be buying blind folded. Thanks a million friend for letting us consumers know that the problem still exists.

Hi, thought i'd reply to your post. I have just watched the innocents on blu ray, without any problems. the distributor is the BFI (BRITISH FILM INSTITUTE). They are a highly recognised body in film preservation. They list the players on their site that have problems with this film. Have a look at their site.

I would suggest that when you see your picture breaking up that is usually the result of dust or dirt either on the disc itself or within the player. Try cleaning both the disc and getting a HD disc cleaner for the player and then handling the discs with care. Sticky marks can also cause the laser problems. If it were a faulty disc you would have many people returning discs and there would be a recall.
