Won't read any discs! just makes a rattling noise.,
This review is from: Xbox One 500GB Console with Kinect (Console)
Setup my Xbox One, downloaded the ~500MB day one patch (took about 15min), put in Battlefield 4 and all I hear is this rattling noise. Scared me so I quickly ejected the disc. Try to put in Call of Duty Ghosts... same thing. Looked online for help and there's already 5-6 youtube videos of the same issue just hours after launch. I hope I can get a replacement unit soon. Right now it's a very expensive paper weight.
Well, not entirely. Since the system still functions, I was able to play around with the voice commands. Unfortunately my experience here isn't very positive either. Half of the time the system simply doesn't pick up the command, and sometimes it does the wrong command. Trying to see what's on certain channels simply doesn't work either.
Another thing that I'm disappointed with is the controller. The X360 controller was near perfect, but the bumpers on this new controller don't feel right, and the sticks are very loose feeling. I was able to try a controller earlier and was hoping that it was just the demo unit, but my brand new one is the same unfortunately.
Overall, not a good start. :(
Update: The replacement unit I received is working well so far.

I think your comment getting down votes confirms you are right.

actually....the disk grinding is a problem....its quite a loud grinding noise and you would think its tearing your disk into little bits and pieces... ignore the truth if you want to, but your probably the same people that made 1 star reviews of PS4 so if you don't believe this that's just because you did this yourself to the other console....if you don't believe the disk grinding you will soon....at least you will see it somewere as its quite a common problem, you will probably see a few vids on facebook if you have a account there.... but whatever, don't believe that a launch day console can have problems if you don't want to believe it....

Do I want to drive back to the store after waiting in line, when there's most likely no stock? No. I will be contacting MS first.
I guess I'm lying:
