This review is from: And Mother Makes Three - Series 1 - Complete [DVD] (DVD)
Many people are simply too young to remember or have forgotten that Wendy Craig was named as the funniest woman on television almost forty years ago! (long before 'Butterflies') She had TV sitcom after TV sitcom of success - from the 1960s through to the 1980s. 'And Mother Makes Three' began in 1971 and ran for five years - culminating in 'And Mother Makes Five' in 1976.
This is the first Season of seven episodes. The first few do seem to struggle a bit, but once it finds its feet (about half way in) these are very funny indeed, and the episodes just get better and better!
Also stars Valerie Lush as 'Auntie' and David Parfitt as a child star who would go on to produce 'Shakespeare In love' years later!
Guest stars Gary Raymond.
Point: Notice how young the children looked for their ages in those days? These were all teenagers at the time of filming! Surely this is evidence of our children growing up far too quickly nowadays?
