Good amp modeling and good value at this price,

This review is from: Digitech RP55 Modelling Guitar Processor (Electronics)
I paid £32 for it from here and for this price you cant complain much. The amp modeling sounds good and it does a good job at attempting to sound like a blackface, VOX and others. Theres loads of effects on it to play with and the unit is fairly basic to use, which I think is a good thing. Compared it next to my zoom g3x and the zoom has a lot more sound and it does sound better overall but there is so much on it for me its over the top at times and it does cost quite a bit more than this too. This digitech pedal is also extremely compact which is a bonus about the size of two'ish stomp boxes so its really neat.
Drum machine is limited and not that much variation in sound but its not bad, the tempo and level can be adjusted.
One thing I didn't like was the chorus effect I was going to buy a dedicated chorus pedal, till I saw this and thought it was a bonus to have every thing else in a compact pedal but the chorus effect to me was rubbish, real cheap fake sounding ( I know its digital anyway but I just thought it sounded real bad.)
I didn't try all its features but there are some good default preset sounds on there and it's a great tool if your on a budget as most of it sounds nice, especially the amp sims.
I had no noise issues with my unit it was nice and clean.
