I've had this coffee maker for three months now and it works perfectly well. Yeah, the water tank is a little awkward to fill and yeah, when you clean it out some water does drip down the back but neither of these are a major problem for me. It makes coffee and it makes it well.
It's a stylish, expensive looking machine and the lights are reassurance that it's switched on. I've not used the timer feature as it really doesn't take long to brew a full pot of coffee and it's good to hear it working in the background whilst you get on with other things. It keeps your coffee hot for up to two hours and then switches off the hotplate. Two hours sounds like ages but I've got to the machine too late on a couple of occasions and the disappointment was immense. However, better that than a cup of hot bitter coffee.
The permanent filter is a good feature but I always use a paper filter as well - this ensures no coffee grounds end up in my cup and cleaning it is very simple as the filter lifts out and goes straight into the food recycling bin!
The disappointment for me was the size. Don't get me wrong, it's not massive but it's just unexplainably bigger than it needs to be and this makes it too dominant in the kitchen. If you have a small amount of worktop, look elsewhere.
In summary, I like this machine and the coffee it makes and recommend it to you.
