Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: 2.25KG HENCH NUTRITION PRO ACTIVE WHEY PROTEIN POWDER RECOVERY SHAKE DRINK - STRAWBERRY (Personal Care)
This product does actually taste quite good, in comparison to other protein powders it's much easier to drink, though may be a little sweet for some people. It also mixes well, I mix it with water and use a shaker which does the job fine. However, in terms of the nutritional values, this product is a bit of a let down. Allow me to compare it with Tesco instant dried skimmed milk if I may.
First of all the Protein powder per 100g,
Protein (Dry Matter) 39.2g
Protein (As-Is) 35g (personally I'm not sure of the difference other than weight)
Trans FA 0g
Now if I compare to Tesco dried milk per 100g
(of which sugars) 52.9g
(of which saturates) 0.4g
So the protein powder does marginally have more protein, but it also has more total fat. Considering the difference in price (roughly £11 per kg for the protein powder vs £4.95 per kg for the milk powder) I'm really wondering, is this product worth the money?

Mr. T. Andrews says:
Skimmed milk powder contains mostly casein protein which is slow acting compared with whey, which peaks in the body after a couple of hours.
