5.0 out of 5 stars Great way to get the first five!, 15 Aug 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Original Album Series: Little Feat / Sailin' Shoes / Dixie Chicken / Feats Don't Fail Me Now / The Last Record Album (Audio CD)
There is absolutley nothing wrong with these sets. Some people are complaining about sound quality, but to me they sound fine. Sound like flat transfers of the master with no goosed eq. which means that you can crank these withuot getting a headache! Most modern remasters to me sound awful with brickwalling, smiley face eq's and no dynamic range. My advice is hit the purchase button, great way of acquiring these absolute classics with the best sound you are going to get!
Most of the box sets in this series are the original pressings and this to me is a good thing. Snap them up before they sell out and horrible modern masters come out!

I purposely search out the original "non-remastered" CD's because 99 times out of 100 they blow any new remaster away! I have to laugh at people who think that Cd's pulled from the oriigal analof tapes need remastering. Vinyl is still the way to go anyway but CD's are great from buring to the Ipod for the car!
