This is simply a different book on baking.I found this book very interesting, and certainly worth having as the dishes discribed are very unusual.I do feel the author has not really put this book together for the home baker, but simply used his recipes from a commercial kitchen. For instance he uses six eggs in one recipe which to me means rather a large quantity, ringing back to the times of Mrs.Beaton or maybe some victorian cook books. The choice of recipes are varied and I am certain most people who home bake would like this book. The instructions are clear and do not faff about telling you the same over and over again. The little paragraph at the bottom of each recipe is also most helpful as it does give you an idea how or when you would serve each dish.
