This book started off very promisingly - I was impressed with the writing style and settled into an instant sense of thrilleresque suspense from the get-go. Unfortunately, it quickly started to degenerate from there.
The narrator is an intensely dislikeable person, filled with self-justifications, self-pity and excuses for her amoral actions. Her lover is nauseatingly referred to as "my love" throughout, even though it quickly becomes evident that he doesn't have much to offer apart from the ability to orgasm in public. The shock-value style plot "twists" also came off as lame and predictable. All in all, not a winner for me.
