Badly Designed and misleading Ad Campaign,
This review is from: Tefal Quick Cup - Hot and Cold Water in 3 Seconds (Kitchen & Home)
I purchased this product, purely for the energy saving properties.
When I recieved the kettle, it was immediately obvious that this prouct would not stand the test of day to day use. The design of the storage tank and lid is of such a thin and brittle finish, that I could only assume that it would not be long before it would develop a crack or the flimsey handle would break.
As for the main unit...the noise...it could only be described as a hammer drill pounding on the work top. If you fancied a late night cuppa, you would almost certainly wake the house, and even the neighbours.
When the water is being dispensed, as well as the noise it will splutter a broken stream of hot water (not boiling), so will not infuse the tea correctly.
Overall this product should be recalled, and not be put back on the shelves until it is fit for purpose. Which given the fact it will never reach boiling point or be of a quiet nature due to the water pump, I assume will be never.
Very dissapointing, will stick with the Brita filter kettle, not energy efficient..but does what it is meant to, filter and boil water.
As a foot note, if you use boiling water for cooking this product is also useless.
