This review is from: Kienzle Quartz Pocket Watch K7013013020-00228 (Watch)
The Kienzle is a good value for money basic quartz pocket watch. The hands and numbers are luminous though not very long-lasting into the night, and as it's quartz the accuracy is a reasonable 15 seconds or so per month. The case is plain brushed stainless steel, and the crystal is glass not plastic. The movement inside is a basic no-jewels Japanese Miyota 2115, used in some much more expensive watches, and is powered by a single SR626SW cell.
So far this watch has withstood being stood on and dropped on a hard surface and it's still ticking away happily. It doesn't come with a watch chain or lanyard, I use mine tied to a leather bootlace - works well enough. Recommended for the user who wants an easy to read, robust watch that just gets on with the basics and gives you quartz accuracy in a slightly old-fashioned format.
Why not 5 stars? Could do with higher quality luminous coating on the hands and numerals, and the crystal will get scratched as it's not sapphire - though in fairness the watch is priced at a point where sapphire isn't likely to be used.
