a mixed bag of delights,
This review is from: Me and My Katamari (PSP) (Video Game)I've only had the pleasure of a PSP for a few weeks now, having long since lost interest in the all fad, no fun next generation consoles, but already the unique charms of the system's games have put a smile back on my face.
If you're like me and enjoyed the variety of titles that only the Sony console can offer (particularly in the long summer afternoons), then 'Me and My Katamari' is really for you. Want a synopsis, I suggest looking elsewhere, but in terms of sheer addictive "one more go..." value, this is one to get ahold of.
Colorful, innocent and entirely pointless (yet never the less great fun), 'Katamari' is one of those stand out titles that only come along every once in a while. The only fallback possibly is the lack of unique maps and challenges after a certain number of hours; everthing begins to become quite ubiquitous, which makes me wonder if there is any chance of a sequel coming through.
To summarise; a short but nevertheless sweet break from the more hardcore RPG titles available for the console, 'Katamari' for the PSP will be one to grab if you see it on sale- as I doubt any true gamer has the heart to trade it in, completed or otherwise.
