This review is from: A Year of Doing Good: One Woman, One New Year's Resolution, 365 Good Deeds (Paperback)
I was hopeful when I read other comments that I'd enjoy this book, but it just made me quite cross! The author obviously has a mission to accomplish and on some days her good deeds just don't really count (opening a door for someone - isn't that just being polite?) I really wanted to like it, but felt there was too much waffle and not enough really deep writing - she does touch on some interesting things about the complex feelings and thoughts attached to the process but she could have written about that in much more depth. But I really admire her spirit and attitude of perseverance. Maybe I don't have a sense of humour, but I barely laughed once - was disappointed.
