Fabulous book - everyone should own it,
This review is from: Fresh from the Freezer: 100 delicious, freezer-friendly recipes (Paperback)
This is a fabulous book, and i think essential for both busy people, and ones like me who have more time on their hands.
Loads of useful hints and tips at the introduction part of the book about freezer management, and what can be frozen successfully and what can@t and freezer storage times.
The freezer is my best friend in the kitchen as only 2 of us, i bulk cook anyway - and its always useful to have extra help and advise and Gilly has covered it exceptional well.
Very modern take on fresh food storage.
And i have to say in the "baby" section is a lovely way of pureeing (sp) beetroot - which i often have a glut of and other than pickling, this was a really tasty idea - yes i know it baby food, but stir through mashed potatoe makes it a lovely pink colour (i am such a girl) and you know your getting an extra 5-a-day, same with the carrot puree. I also stir through the carrot puree into a spag bol and cottage pie.
and cooking fresh frozen pork chops - who'd have thought!
I can really recommend this for new/novice cooks through to experienced cooks new prompts are always welcome.
Woould really recommend.
