How to give people what they don't want & take away what they do,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Beyond Authority: Leadership in a Changing World (Hardcover)
Perhaps I misunderstood, but the thrust of this book seems to be how to give people things they don't want and raise your own profile at the same time. I had an uncomfortable feeling that there was an unstated political agenda, not necessarily democratic. 'Networks of leaders', it seems to me, create an inset and an outset. If I am right, this is far from empowering for the latter. Do you perhaps feel that you have less control over your own life than you used to ? This book may explain why, and I don't mean that as a recommendation.

You have just discovered "Common Purpose" & described it well.
Check out what Brian Gerrish has to say about the subject.

R. Pievaitis says:
totally agree this "person" is the leader of the most subversive anarchistic group ever to emerge from these shores.
they operate under chatam house rules so all secretive- they have since 1985 infiltrated most of the BBC eg robert peston is a graduate-fact !!!!so maybe if they sent 4000 employees on a course at £4000 each, it could explain where our licence fee has been spent.
they use that oh so subtle english way to creat chaos via neuro linguistic programming(NLP) a form of brain washing via suggestive words and phrases akin to realtime hypnotism.very dangerous in the untrained hands.they are connected to the fabians and various other fronts for the extreme marxist agenda.to create a total breakdown in our families our morals and our lives.they now include police, doctors legals, mps, schoolchildren ,pedophiles, high flyers (who are blind to the true cause of this horrific group and its leader- as is the usual nature of the cult agenda),local councils etc etc.
these are dangerous people who will not provide any financial information as to where their funding comes from despite being a charity and subject to full public viewing-you try and obtain it and see what happens to you !
so avoid,expose and fight !

Mr. Michael Turner says:
I've known about Common Purpose for a good while but avoided mentioning it because it would be so difficult to prove. One of the clever things (and they are very clever) about the 'project' is that if you try to point out what is happening, it sounds like classic paranoia. Not so sure the 'project' is solely Marxist. It probably started with the idea of 'die Europaeische Wirtschafliche Gesellschaft' (European Economic Community) rolled out by the German government in 1942 when they realised that outright miltary victory was unlikely in WWII. The communitarianism advocated by David Cameron has echoes of National Socialism (e.g neighbourhood manager would be a pretty fair translation of 'Gauleiter'). I think that there is a fair amount of 'fellow-travelling' and things may get interesting when the various agendas start to go in different directions.

S. E. Andrews says:
I am truly concerned at the effect of Common Purpose in the background of various agencies that we should be able to trust. The Audit Commission,The National Health Service, The Police and social services. One of the board members of the currently challenged Colchester Hospital was a first round "graduate" of the new System set up in the eighties in Newcastle. NLP Positive speak to the marrow - see the hospital quarterly - "Mainstream" and yet people die and staff are caused to lie under management duress to achieve targets and management rewards.
