This review is from: Epson Expression Premium XP-610 All-in-One Printer with Wi-Fi Direct and Double Sided Printing (Accessory)
This is a good, smallish footprint, printer which gives good results in text and photo printing as well as scanning. The text printing is very fast compared with other printers I have owned (about 8 over the years). I have printed off over 150 6x4 photos with the original ink cartridges and a few A4s too. The printer is just now warning me of low ink levels and so I won't complain about initial cartridge capacity. The photo quality seems a little better than my Epson sx235w.
I have yet to get used to the flimsy photo paper tray and the paper out tray and I sometimes tell the printer to use the wrong one. The design of these trays and the method of using these trays is poor in my view. I seem always to be getting beep warnings to open the printed paper tray or something. I think the photo tray should be automated.
Set up was a problem with my Macbook Pro and as others have pointed out the instructions are poor. Wireless was awkward to get working. I thought this printer had Apple's protocol built in but it doesn't.
However, overall, apart from set-up and trays, I like this printer generally and I am sure I will get used to it. I also think it is particularly good value as I am taking advantage of an Epson offer of £20 back (haven't got it yet).
