5.0 out of 5 stars awesome scope!, 15 Mar. 2012
This review is from: The Apex Practitioner Microscope (Electronics)
..just got it yesterday after gazing at pictures of it for the past month. very well packaged, only cardboard box and Styrofoam, but it does have a pretty cool plastic-like dust-cover bag to cover it with. Besides the actual scope, I got the 20x eyepiece (besides the 10x one that was already mounted), a blue filter, 4 prepared slides (butterfly leg, cockroach leg, oleander leaf and a fly head), 2 empty slides with a metalic(?) square in the middle (probably for liquids)...and (waait for iit)...100 coverslips+50 slides (empty, of course)..but I was a bit surprised since I didn't expect them..have read a lot about this scope and no one said they received these. So very good so far.
There is a set of instructions with the scope, pretty straight-forward and I would recommend reading them before the 1st use. I did..and after about 1 hour of gazing through the prepared slides..I made my 1st slide. (if you're easily grossed-out, STOP reading :) )...yes! Sperm cells can be seen very well with this scope!..the tails, swimming and everything..finally I know my little ones can swim!:))
Can't wait to get home from work and check out some pond water and see how many dust mites I can find on my carpet!

Again..awesome scope..more than expected..well packaged..arrived quickly...would recommend it to anyone interested in the 'Invisible World' that microscopes unveil!
