I'm going along with all the other reviews so far and say that it is a very enjoyable and well written book. Enough detail to keep you interested and a good balance between the bike, trip, country and people. What endeared me to the writer was that he was camping for most of the trip, rather than touring on his credit card, which gave a better feeling of an adventure. You do not need to be a Harley Davidson owner or even interested in bikes to enjoy this book, you just need to be interested in other people's travels.

Hello M.R and thank you for taking the time to post your review. Your kind words are greatly appreciated. I also note that you have written 7 reviews and that you have scored my work so highly. I cannot thank you enough for that. I absolutely understand that my style will not appeal to anyone but it is good to know that it does to some!
I'm glad that you got a sense of adventure from the book and I understand what you mean about touring on a credit card. One of the things I hoped to achieve was to encourage others that feel trapped in their everyday existence to take the step to achieve their dreams. Maybe that sounds a bit heavy but it's true. This journey was the catalyst that allowed me to quit the mundane pressurised existence that I endured, and go off at a tangent. I doubt very much that I could have done so without making this trip first.
The point I am trying to make is that by camping so much (and using cheap motels) such an extended break from paid employment is within the grasp of many people, should they wish to do such a thing.
Again, thank you.
