Brilliant soundscapes with a rock finale,

Fripp comes out of retirement to record a very special album with Theo Travis. I agree this is probably their best collaboration.
Having listened to the album on at least 5 occasions now, I am hearing a collective collage that is both haunting and inspiring. This is music alright in all its glows and shadows. It starts in a spiritual dream of minimalism and reaches a crescendo of heavy proportions. A word about "Rotary Symmetrical" - I can hear echoes of the Fripp/Eno influenced "Neukoln" found on Bowie's Heroes.
I am relatively late coming to Robert Fripp's work so cannot be critically helpful here; but I recommend this album wholeheartedly. In purchasing, I have also bought recently Evening Star which is breathtaking, illuminating and atmospheric. The Evening Star project of 1974/75 contained soundscapes and echoes that clearly followed Fripp and Eno to Berlin for the Bowie project.
