3.0 out of 5 stars Very good for the money, 27 Jan. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Samsung PS50C450 50-inch Widescreen HD Ready 600Hz Plasma TV with Freeview (Electronics)
As another poster referred to, my tv was also smashed when I first received it. Although, as expected, Amazon replaced it immediately no questions asked, the only problem was on first class delivery it took a week to arrive!

This is a very good tv, set up is a gift, for close up shots it is absolutely perfect, but on shots from distance items are not as sharp as they can be. When watching the snooker I noticed the balls were not that well defined on the full table camera angle.

Another review refers to the power cable, which is far too short if you are going to have it on a stand. My main problem with this tv is using it with my ps3, the tv cannot handle going from one output (say ps3 game to iPlayer to blu ray)the screen goes blank, and you then have to reset the video output factory settings on the ps3 which is very annoying.

There is also pretty bad screen burn when an image or logo has been static for a couple of minutes, but this is to be expected with a plasma.

It may not sound like it, but I really do enjoy watching my new tv.

I don't have the same problem with changing from one output to another.

How long have you had your TV? As you mentioned, plasmas do suffer from image burn, but the severity of it with this TV settles after a couple of months. I very rarely notice it these days, only when watching football (the score in the top corner) and BBC programs with the (very invasive) red button logo in the corner (why they don't make this opaque baffles me), but it disappears rapidly. I haven't used the screen wipe function since the first couple of weeks of use.
