An enthralling book about night fighting in World War 2,
By A Customer
This review is from: Night Flyer (Fighter pilots) (Paperback)
The author of this book tells the story of his night fighting activity as a Navigator in the RAF Fighter Command and later No. 100 Group RAF Bomber Command. His tale extends to the social history of the time and his story of a train journey from an airfield in the North of England to London for a wedding accompanied by many of the officers of his Squadron brings tears of laughter to the eyes. The first tale in the book is a story about how his first week in the RAF was spent in the uniform of a Gestapo officer ...
Since reading the book I have been fortunate enough to meet the man, in real life his tales are just as captivating and his after dinner speaking is fantastic.
