I first heard JK on Charlie Gillett's "Honky Tonk" radio prog in the 1970s (incidentally, I also heard James Booker there for the first time). I have always wanted to get this recording of "Meet Me In The City" ever since. The voice is younger and the sound "cleaner" than on the Fat Possum releases of the 1990s and later. This may only be cd length, but who cares? It's brilliant. And thank you to Charlie Gillett's memory - you gave me so much interesting music to seek out and hear.
